EX SFORZA PALACE (San Giuseppe Retirement Home)

The rest home of San Giuseppe was born within the premises of the building that was built by Ascanio Sforza in 1535, and which became the property of the Observant Friars Minor in 1617 who made it their convent. The San Giuseppe Retirement Home was born at the end of the nineteenth century. Immersed in the natural landscape it is the ideal place to spend an optimal stay.

FLOWER MUSEUM (Museo del Fiore)

The Museo del Fiore is a naturalistic museum located in the woods of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve near the medieval village of Torre Alfina. Each of its spaces, internal or external, is dedicated to the many interpretations with which the theme of flowers can be addressed. In short, a place where you can finally discover “everything you ever wanted to know about flowers but never dared to ask”.

DIOCESAN ARCHIVE (Archivio Diocesano)

The Bishop’s Palace houses the historical archive of the Dioceses of Castro and Acquapendente on the first floor. In recent years, under the coordination of the manager Prof. Luciano Osbat, the documentation stored in the archive has been rearranged and the inventories can be consulted both on site and online at www.centrodocumentazioneviterbo.it. The present documentation has a dating between the fifteenth century. and the 21st century.
