FLOWER MUSEUM (Museo del Fiore)
DESCRIPTION
Il Muso del Fiore is a naturalistic museum immersed in the woods of the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve.
From the games to the herbarium, from the laboratory to the path, each of its spaces, internal or external, is dedicated to the many interpretations with which the theme of flowers can be addressed. And of the thousand relationships that these colorful entities intertwine with the rest of the living world, of which we too are part.
In short, a place where you can finally discover “everything you ever wanted to know about flowers but never dared to ask”.
The Nature Path of the Flower and the outdoor area
The museum continues outdoors with an external section formed by a circular route about three kilometers long, enriched with colorful information panels that explain the most important features of the landscapes and environments encountered. An incessant noise of water warns of the proximity of the Subissone stream. Along its banks there is the water mill, now renovated, for the grinding of cereals. On warm or hot days, safely behind glass, in the shed overlooking the educational hive, we can explore the life and behavior of bees up close. In the garden all around the museum, an outdoor area arranged as a garden and equipped with picnic tables, benches and toys for children in recycled plastic allows visitors to relax in the greenery. The management of the museum services is entrusted to the Cooperative l’Ape Regina, which deals with the ordinary and extraordinary opening services and the educational and cultural activities of the Museum. Competent and passionate people work in the museum whose work, day after day, is transformed into activity, knowledge, learning, curiosity, wonder, enthusiasm, fun and love for nature.
