MUSEUM OF THE CITY PINACOTECA

The structure of the former Convent of San Francesco houses on the ground floor, in the premises of the former sacristy, the Art Gallery section of the City Museum and, on the first floor, the offices of the ECO Point. The art gallery was inaugurated in April 2011.

The seat of the Municipal Library in Via Cantorrivo, housed in the former public wash house dating back to the nineteenth century, thanks to the particular modern architecture characterized by large windows is also very attractive for the heritage it contains, almost twenty thousand volumes and a large documentary kit that manages to serve a wide range of users.

PETRUCCI PICCIONI PALACE

Petrucci-Piccioni Palace, is located in front of the town hall, and is characterized by the portal with a round arch, enclosed within strong ashlar pilasters and bears the name “TANCREDES PETRUTIUS” on the sides of the main ashlar.

CHURCH OF SAN GIOVANNI

The church of San Giovanni, consecrated in 1149, is located to the right of what was once the palace built by Ascanio Sforza in 1535, which became the property of the Minor Observant friars in 1617 who made it their convent. The church, like the rest of the complex in which it is incorporated, has undergone, over time, numerous tampering, especially in the nineteenth century.
